These are interesting days, with a silent and yet powerful vibration underneath it all. We feel it in our hearts, as the passion for living becomes stronger, like a whirl of burning cosmic knowledge taking over our bodies as we let go and face the truths of the universal wisdom and its synchronicity with our lives. The passion and the seething fire of Sagittarius, the sign for this Full Moon.
Let us welcome the Full Moon in Sagittarius. This Full Moon is also known as the Flower Moon, Corn Moon, Hare Moon or Milk Moon. We are in the middle of Spring.
As my dreams fade away
And the stars become clear
I realized I had lost sight of the moon
While chasing the sun
This is a time coloured by transformation and alchemical processes. With the seed from the past New Moon in Taurus, we have come to the promise of this Lunation, the Full Moon in Sagittarius. And what it brings is discovery, awakening, understanding, and realisation.
We are all seeking for something. Most of the times we don’t really know what are we chasing. Some other times we will put goals and objectives in our lives. But then we see how these dissolve little by little, until they become dust.
Points of inflexion in life. Points in life when we get to see the fleeting quality of matter. Of what we think we seek. And we start questioning ourselves. What is what I want? Why am I here? What is this life all about?
This Full Moon is happening in a wide t-square led by Neptune in Pisces. In addition, there are trines and sextiles formed by the Sun and the Moon to the nodal axis, indicating a special connection between the past and the future awaiting for us. Let us navigate deeper into this (this article might get quite ethereal).
Mars is conjoined the South Node of the Moon in Aquarius and the Moon forms a fire grand trine with her North Node in Leo and with Chiron in Aries.
This indicates the liberation of the creative unique self. The unrealised spirit yearning for expression. This could also lead us to a more sensitive scenario where we can feel strange associations with things, people, places or objects. A very strong revival of feelings and sensations of life times we no longer recognise.
This connection makes us shiver and activates our higher mind. It is a revival of the old through the lens of the new, an ignited power to pursue what the soul has been desiring from times we don’t remember. This mysterious and yet powerful experience can bring back to life some skills we had long forgotten.
This experience is what will help us create the new in the present, and from the gifts of the past. The gifts from the past are not just abilities, but all the bundle of experiences, joys, failures, mistakes, decisions and actions that have taken us to where we are now.
With this regard, the Sabian Symbol* for the degree of Sagittarius in which this Full Moon comes into manifestation describes:
“The alchemical fire which both purifies and transforms the very substance of man’s inner life”.
To this, Rudhyar adds: “The symbol draws our attention to the inner changes. We have to become aware of them. What is implied is a kind of psychic gestation”.
This “psychic gestation” not only transforms us and redefines our views of life, experiences, joys, failures, changes, new cycles, destruction and revival; but it also takes us closer to the original spark of everything. It takes us closer to what real consciousness is, the universal spirit, and what being present represents. The power of being here and now.
It is just an extraordinary feeling, and an exciting thrill cheering our path into the unknown bends that will manifest in our path. It is an optimistic vibration that heals what once was sorrow and transforms it into fuel.
Simultaneously there is also a water grand trine between Venus in Cancer, Neptune in Pisces and Jupiter in Scorpio. This grand trine amplifies the emotions, the feelings and the sensitivity to our surroundings, to people, to events, to fortunes or misfortunes. But if we become aware of this, we can use this water grand trine constructively and harmoniously with the positive pulsating energy of the Moon in Sagittarius.
Like my favourite one once said:
“Contemplating a flame perpetuates a primordial reverie. It separates us from the world and enlarges our world as dreamers. In itself the flame is a major presence, but being close to it makes us dream of far away, too far away. The flame is there, feeble and tiny, struggling to stay in existence, and the dreamer goes on to dream of elsewhere, losing his own being by dreaming on a grand, on a too grand scale by dreaming of the world.”
Don’t discard any event. Don’t set aside any circumstance. Don’t underestimate any contact or person you have crossed with. Because in every moment there is the timeless potentiality of a magical outcome, a magical lesson, a magical hand. Don’t look away at the signs, don’t turn off your ears at some words you might hear. When something happens, anything, anyone, and your heart shakes in excitement: pay attention, observe, meditate, analyse it, and feel it. Then embrace it with all your heart.
